It’s like a rock Avengers up in here

The Grammys closed out in style last night – although there was some controversy courtesy of a certain Mr Reznor.

The awards – also marked by a unique Metallica performance – ended with a special mini-set featuring Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails And Dave Grohl.

The medley featured Nine Inch Nails track Copy Of A and Queens of the Stone Age’s My God Is the Sun and also featured Fleetwood mac legend Lyndsey Buckingham, but was cut short at the finale, causing Trent Reznor to vent his frustrations via Twitter soon after:

Oh dear. Watch the performance below:

While Black Sabbath walked away with a gong for Best Metal Performance via God Is Dead?, they also lost out on awards to the likes of Paul McCartney and Led Zeppelin in other categories. Yes, that’s Led Zeppelin. They won the Grammy for best rock album. For a live album. Sure.

It’s almost like it’s a totally nonsensical awards show that has no bearing on or relevance to metal whatsoever. Almost.
