Lamb Of God: heading on without Mark (centre)

Lamb Of God have confirmed that guitarist Mark Morton will not be partaking in their upcoming European dates – including their UK tour with Huntress and Decapitated – owing to a “family emergency”.

The news was confirmed during the band’s first show of the tour.

“You may have noticed Mr. Mark Morton is not here with us tonight,” frontman Randy Blythe told the crowd in Vienna, Austria, on stage last night (Monday Jan 6). “He had a family emergency, so he had to stay home. It’s family first for this band. We apologise, but he had to be with his family. Luckily, we have a very big music family, so we’ve got our friend Mr. Paul Waggoner from Between The Buried And Me.”

Obviously we echo Randy’s sentiments and hope that everything is okay and that we can see Mark back with the LOG guys very soon!

13th Jan – LEEDS O2 Academy
14th Jan – NEWCASTLE O2 Academy
